Esiak is an herbal formulation that is believed to have originated with the Ojibwe Indians, who utilized it for tension relief and rejuvenation. For years, the formula was passed down and eventually found its way into herbal medicine. This form of Essiac tea, was later created by Canadian nurse Rene Caisse and has been utilized since the early 1920s.
